Natural Treatment for Migraine

Natural treatments for migraine are showing scientifically proven evidence in reducing the frequency and severity of migraines, highlighting acupuncture, Chinese herbal formulas, and nutritional supplements as alternatives or complements to pharmaceutical drugs.

The combination of Chinese herbs is used to enhance the therapeutic effect in migraine treatment. Chuanxiong Rhizome and Cyperi Rhizome are commonly used together to potentiate their therapeutic impact.

Studies have shown that the combination of these two herbs significantly normalized abnormal levels of vasoactive substances, markedly reduced pro-inflammatory cytokines, and increased anti-inflammatory cytokines, resulting in a reduction in both the frequency and severity of migraines.

Numerous clinical studies have demonstrated that acupuncture is effective in reducing the number and duration of migraine attacks, decreasing pain, preventing the recurrence of headaches, and presenting fewer adverse effects compared to pharmaceutical treatments.

Based on my experience treating migraines with natural medicine for many years, I have found that the combination of acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas significantly improves the frequency and intensity of migraines—often more effectively than pharmaceutical treatment.
